5 ideas for Weight Loss by tricking your Taste Buds

How much of food and our enjoyment of it is the actual food or the thoughts we associate with it?
  • Tests show that color of plates and cups  influences how tasty we think the food is.  Try it out  yourself at home.  The European researchers found that a chocolate drink in an orange cup tasted better than one from a white mug.  Do you get the same result?
  • Have you ever noticed that if you haven't eaten a food for a while and then come back to it, it tastes really good.  I notice it especially when a new fruit or vegetable comes back into season.  Is it the anticipation that changes the flavor?
  • Doesn't food taste better when you are hungry.
  • Does it taste better if you have plenty of time to savior it?
  • Have you noticed you fill fuller if you eat the same amount of food on a smaller plate?
So 5 Ideas for Weight Loss by tricking your taste buds;
  1. Eat your food off an orange plate
  2. Make sure the plate is on the smallish side
  3. Choose different foods, try new vegetables or a different herb or spice
  4. Put aside enough time to eat slowly.
